Our History

A Grade II-listed manor house, The Priory Manor was originally part of a farm which is mentioned in the Doomsday Book, commissioned by William the Conqueror in the 11th century. Monks lived and worked here until the dissolution of the monasteries by King Henry VIII.

The king gave the property to Christchurch College Oxford, who still own much of the surrounding farming land. Christchurch only parted with The Priory and the associated Manor House in 1975. Inside, we are proud to offer excellent holiday accommodation with excellent links to the surrounding areas.
